With the summer craziness gone and preparations beginning for next year already, we hired a part time Warehouse and Stock Assistant called Rob, who started on Monday and will continue to be with us twice a week until next summer when he will hopefully want to continue with us full time. More on him later – watch this space!
We received news that Google had amended their search criteria (again), so much of the beginning of the week was spent trying to figure out (with our budding tech team) how best to get our website back up on the first page. I’m hoping some of you have managed to find us and are now reading…. With a couple of rentals and installs coming up, the boys were out in the yard. They first built a 3m x 3m rental modular cube pontoon with galvanized handrails, a bespoke gate and fender cleats, to go out to Dawlish today, but that’s now been delayed. That looked pretty impressive if we do say so ourselves. After that build, a 6m x 2m Rotodock decked pontoon began for Exbury Gardens in Southampton, to be delivered in the next few weeks.
In between these builds, trips to the metalworkers, galvanisers, drop offs at Parkstone Bay and a couple of private customers took place. Oliver was up in Milton Keynes, Ipswich and Norfolk meeting some of our customers and Regional Retailers, having a catch up after the hectic days of summer; and the office team had a good old sort out with a view to creating more space for new people and guests. A productive week all round!
This morning we’ve heard about two big rental jobs coming up for Network Rail, so that’s great news in a quieter season. Don’t forget that if you need a rental pontoon this month, we have a 10% discount for you for the first two weeks of rental, which will need to be starting next week, so let us know asap!
Have a lovely weekend!
