1st and 2nd pics: A section of the old wooden pontoon being transported away by boat

The City of Bristol Rowing Club (CoBRC) had a 15-year-old wooden pontoon in need of replacement. WMS was hired to remove the old pontoon and replace it with a longer-lasting option.

Our team began by breaking the pontoon into 3 sections for ease of transport.

Each section had to be crane lifted out of the marina and onto a lorry then brought back to our warehouse for disposal.

As the replacement for their old wooden pontoon, CoBRC selected an EasyFloat pontoon – a fantastic choice. EasyFloat is the lowest freeboard pontoon available, perfect for a rowing club! It is designed to be long lasting, environmentally friendly and robust, holding up in tough marine environments.

Our team installed the new pontoon using custom brackets attached to the quay wall, allowing the pontoon to rise and fall with the tide.
