Modular Cubes surrounding the footprint of the jetty, with the jetty's piles in place.

Wardle Marine Services were contracted to build a customised hammerhead jetty out into a lake at a beautiful private estate in Grinstead.

We constructed a working platform from our Modular Cubes for easy, stable, safe access to all angles of the jetty and to keep the team dry for the duration of the build. We then drove galvanised piles into the lakebed and installed the supporting framework, made from 60mm diameter galvanised tubes.

On top of this, we built the sub-frame, made from high-density polyethylene, for attaching the decking itself.

Luckily, our team were wrapped up warm for the snow that surprised us in November!

Even though the weather was a little miserable, they got on with installing the jetty’s handrail posts and started laying the Cladco synthetic decking.

In early December, the team completed the jetty. For the handrails, we used hemp rope threaded through composite handrail posts.

The finished jetty looks great against the beautiful backdrop of the English countryside (it looks really stunning on better weather days!). It will be the perfect location to spend the afternoon relaxing in the spring sunshine!
